Court of Appeal Case

Court of Appeal

We are in the Court of Appeal tomorrow in a landmark case concerning the deprivation of an ultimate privilege; British Nationality. The Bench comprises of Lord Justice Underhill (Vice President), Lord Justice Newey and Lord Justice Baker.

The Court when granting permission has observed that this case raises important matters of principles and practice in cases where the Home Office revokes a person’s citizenship.

The case raises novel and different issues other than the obvious case of Shamima Begum which comes to mind.

The case is under the brilliant minds of Mr Sheryar Khan and Altin Prozhmi at Connaughts.

Mr Manjit Gill QC of No5 Chambers and Mr Ahmad of 10 Kings Bench Walk instructed.
